Hello fellow aquarium enthusiasts! My name is Greg; I live in santa rosa with my wife, 3 kids, a chocolate lab, some chickens and my new obsession fish and corals.
My aunt got me into the hobby a couple years back, she brought me home a betta. Fast forward, my 15g a.i.o planted tank with cardinal tetras and a pair of German blue rams got NUKED!! By my, at the time 6 year old son. I was out of town and he fed a nearly full bag of food pellets. Il let your imagination do the rest.
After a small break I got a 35 gallon planted tank set up which is doing good. The plants weren't enough I wanted corals!!
I currently have a 35 gallon, rookie mixed reef, work in progress. The system is about 5 months in the making. Once I find some time I will make a journal. I also have a 15 gallon fowlr and a 10 gallon quarantine/observation tank.
I was first introduced to the club at a cocktails and corals talk at high tide with Jullian and Charles back in september.(thanks kenny) As an outsider I felt very welcome right out of the gate and struck up conversation with more than a handful of members. I had never heard of BAR so I went home signed up and have since been lurking from time to time.
Getting deeper into the hobby, I feel that my next move is to get involved with the community. So here I am. Thanks to all the members, past and present, that have created this place for us to share our passion for all things marine and otherwise.

Welcome offically. The rock scape in both tanks looks sweet. It seems you have skills in that area.

Happy to have you join the club. And hope to see you at future club events.

Any questions or every need advice or help feel free to ask. We are always willing to help.

Hey Michael, thanks for the kind words. I do decorative concrete and stone work, its much more satisfying to do it in my tank. How/where do i setup a tank journal? just start a post i assume?

Hey thanks, i was going to sit this one out but i may try to make it happen. I keep telling myself stop buying corals and let my tank mature, i dont listen to myself very well. so maybe.
I always bring a little bit of cash so I don't get in trouble. People in the club hand off DBTC things there too.

Click on the link and start one there where it says post thread.

Feel free to browse those from other members. It's not any competition but we love seeing lots of pictures and updates, including the good, bad, and the ugly lol.
