Help setting up RS-80 skimmer

Hi gang,

This is my first time trying to use this skimmer, it's a euro reef RS-80 and I'm trying to get it setup.

Anyone have any experience with this thing? I plopped it in my sump, connected the pump and plugged the thing in, so far there is foam but not quite up to the top of the neck, I'm sure there is some adjusting and tweaking to get this thing to skim so in hopes of shortcutting my way through a bunch of trial & error I thought I'd make a quick thread and hopefully someone with better insight can simply point me in the right direction.

Make sure water level is 6-8" of skimmer

right now sump is at 7" & skimmer is maybe 8" it's skimming now but is it normal that my adjustment pipe is about 85% closed?
