This is a clam gun. The elbow on the left is a 1/2” fitting that is suppose to attach to the clam gun body to the right. Unfortunately, the builder of this tool did not provide enough 1/2” pvc to attach to the elbow. I only used this clam gun 3x and it snapped on me last weekend. I purchased this more than a year ago from a seller in Oregon so don’t feel like messing around with a return or warranty repair.
My initial thoughts were to buy pvc with outer dimensions equal to the inner dimensions of 1/2” pvc, glue into the base, glue 1/2” pvc into the “joiner”, and glue the 1/2” pvc to the elbow but google does show pvc with outer dimensions equal to inner dimensions of 1/2” pvc.
The grey ring on the body is glued on to the pvc on the right side. This acts as a “stopper.” Can this be easily removed?
Anyone have experience with this and can provide some advice? Thanks.
