High Tide Aquatics

Hi all!!

I also added my nems way too early in an immature system, inadequate lighting as well. To be quite frank I happened to get a particularly robust RBTA, and got REALLY lucky. I would not recommend the same to others, nor would I do it again.
I opted to feed my nem krill once a week or so, changed more water than I should have (water too clean issues in hindsight), and went slowly on everything else. Did I mention that I got lucky and wouldn't recommend it to others?

So after feeding my nems every other day and spending more time with my tank. The nems are starting to color back up. I also decided to add more corals to the tanks instead of just doing anemones.

Welcome!
Tank looks nice.

I have added news after cycling also. No problem.
If they are starting to color up already, you should be fine.
Most likely shock, probably a combination of lights and water parameter differences.

Thank you!

This morning my clam is a goner. I saw my bumblebee snail eating it. I check my parameters and everything was good. So I wonder what could have caused it. I did some research and just found out that bumblebee snails are predators. They will eat your clam!! [emoji26]Wifey was not happy about it because she was the one that bought it. Lol. I need to get rid of those bubble bee snail. [emoji31]

Your tank and mine may be facing similar challenges. I'm at the 4 month mark too and working to get nutrients up after having some bleaching challenges; I am chasing a phosphate reading that's currently not detectable. I've received good and simple advice: "feed, feed, feed." (More here.)

Welcome back and good luck!

So heres an update of my reef tank. I decided to make it a mix reef. Everything is doing good. I will be upgrading to a 100g tank soon and this 20g will be an anemone tank, which was my plan originally. [emoji16]

Just want to update my tank. So my 20g turn in to a regular anemone tank as I planned. I upgraded to a new red sea reefer 450xl in November 2019. Heres a photo of anemone tank.
