I wanted to introduce myself here, my name is Dom I go by SaltyManos on YT and IG and I’m a coral photographer.
My family and I have recently relocated back to the Bay Area(San Jose) after living in my hometown San Diego for the past four years. I’ve been in the hobby for about 11yrs and been taking pictures of corals for the same duration digitally.
I’m very active with my coral photography and always working towards achieving the next best feat in coral photography. I love to photograph other reef-keepers collections when I can also. Extending my abilities to let locals enjoy a great photo of their cherished aquatic creatures in stunning macro is my zone!

Thanks for the welcoming everyone! I’d love to help anyone and everyone out with fine tuning their photography skills to their liking. I’m a Nikon user and the latest body I’ve been shooting with is Nikon D850. Along with many different macro lenses(gotta catch them all) like
Micro-Nikkor 40mm/105mm/200mm
Laowa 24mm 5:1 /100mm 2:1(my current favorite). I’m just now messing with cinematography now that I’ve honed in and gotten very comfortable with all my equipment.
