Anyone use this travertine tile from Home Depot before as a frag tile?

I recall hearing people trying to use these in the reef central days and they dull the coral saw blades pretty fast. At the time there were concerns over whether manufacturers were using adhesives, fillers, or any additives as well to make them less porous. Concerns too over phosphate leaching and weird algae growth in other threads too.

But maybe soaking it awhile in RO isn't a bad idea.

What Thomas said. It’s an old school cheap way of frag disc. I fragged a favia last frag swap. Ruined the saw blade right away. I wouldn’t use them.
Those replacement blades are expensive too! Thanks for the info

Standard tile saw or small angle grinder with diamond blade cuts them like butter..Those tiles are 10x harder than most live rock so I assume dry live rock would leach alot more.
I have used 12x12 for GSP leaning them up on the back wall or bottom worked fine since that stuff grows like weeds giving you alot more time in between cutting or trimming if need
Also siliconed a few 12x12 down in a cichlid tank looked cool better then bare glass..Gota silicone if you don’t want alota debris trapped under. They were left overs from job sites sourced from stone yards & tile shops since they know where their products originate .. I would not trust HD,Lowes big box stores since I have come across epoxy fillers as mentioned above especially with the polished lime stone/ travertine tiles made for indoor showers etc So stick with the honed / unpolished tiles.
. Algae on them yes but nothing outa the ordinary.
