How long does it take for ich to die off?

My 20 gallon has ich but I don't know what would be the fastest method to get rid of ich.
I want to participate in the swap.
Ideas would be appreciated.

Didn't you recently move your molly from the other tank?
It does suck that you risk ick by adding new corals from other fish systems! Dips will not kill ick in tomont stage of which I do break off any frag plug and toss before dipping maybe it helps a bit.. Adding any new coral/fish / invertebrates/ live rocks from other systems basically resets the quarantine clock to day one!
Do not have the qt next to any other systems..
I think most people on here live a bit wild ( me included) and do not truely quarantine anything from frag swaps/cfm and LFS lol just a chance folks take!!
The more versatile soupy bacteria one can have in a system may fight off bacterial infections is a strong belief..
I recently made a mistake and vacuumed out my sump which under the live rock was an inch or so of muck/debris and who knows what else! Pumps were disconnected. New water was added to the sump then pumps turned back on so basically was a water change! NO cloudiness or anything carried up to main DT.. Some corals took a dive soon after.. Tanks nutrients didn't bottom out.. Parameters were all good.. That mucks been there for years so was that the cause of corals taking a dive? Did I suck out some magic? Ha maybe they adapted to the muck and suddenly it's gone lol..who knows but won't be doing that again unless I keep the sump spotless from the beginning...sorry running on a tangent Mr Seahorse!!

Why the club emphasizes DIP.DIP & DIP to lesson the risks..
Pest prevention is just part of the hobby not a deal breaker.
I do not have a dedicated QT tank only obervation tank but can set a qt up in 20 min if needed
Maybe someone should start a Poll on here of people that actually qt's every single thing before adding to their tanks for over 6 weeks at 80.6 degrees..or strickly buy qt fish and corals from fishless systems..
Just tough unless you have multiple qt's running plus with all the enablers so trust your enabler but still DIP & Dip Ha
Best of luck
