I put some sponges and dry live rock in my sump. How long does it take to seed these so I can put them in my new nano. It will have 2 small clownfishes. TIA
I have read before that it takes approximately 2 weeks to completely seed a sponge - however, I've never read anything about the saturation curve - i.e. is it at 95% at day 2, but takes 12 to get to 100%...etc. Best guess, is to be patient and give it some time before dropping it into a new tank.

I've left sponges in my sump for 2-3 weeks, and haven't had any problems with ammonia spikes and all.
I normally find it easier to add a small piece of live rock to the tank (only a couple pounds) rather than fiddling with a sponge.
Monitor for ammonia and nitrites and handle them accordingly [if they even become present].
