It's steel, much longer, and doesn't mess around.
 
Just don’t get too aggressive with the tightening. You can crack the housing.
Definitely. Same reason you use an impact gun to take the lug nuts off but use a torque wrench to tighten them back on. I would likely tighten everything with the black one, turn the system of, then "fix" the leaks with the metal one to fine exactly when I can stop turning to stop the leak.

What is its concrete benefit?
Steel, not concrete. Concrete would be way too brittle. ;)

Torque = Force x Radius

I am pretty fixed on how much force I want to apply before hurting myself.

Bigger radius = more Torque or less force

Also no concern of breaking the wrench, which I have felt the plastic one bend in my hands before.

Yep. I've busted my hand plenty of times breaking open the canisters with short plastic wrenches. More radius = less force and also puts your hand further away from colliding with other stuff. I'll have to pick one of these up.
