A week weeks ago some of my corals get agitated. Trying to figure out what happened , I tried to narrow down what changed.
So happen that I swap out the trace elements supplements from Redsea to Brightwell . Well, since ATI ICP test both saltwater and RO , I add a few mm of the trace elements to the RO test . Attached is the results. I didn’t measure how much I add (in hindsight I should) but good news is nothing wrong with the supplements maybe expect for Aluminum?? ATI list Al as pollutants. It is not from my RO as previous ICP is clean.
Separately I added few ml of soda ash to my tank water for ICP test. Besides extremely high alk, everything is normal except for higher then normal aluminum. I bought 50lb bulk soda ash from Amazon and since the mix is cloudy, I want to ensure it’s good to use before using it . I think it’s okay.
Just thought of sharing .
