I'm so frustrated with my green carpet anemone

ok so i got a couple of saddle back clowns , thinking that if they host in it , maybe it would stay put after that....well all was good for a few weeks but today i found it roaming around again >:( . i was able to remove it from my tank and placed it in my refugium but i don't have enough light in there to sustain it. any suggestions.

A dedicated tank for the anemone and clowns? A light for the refugium? Sell them all? Trade them in?

Sorry about your roving anemone. I really liked how it looked with your saddlebacks. Do you think it is roving to find more light? If so, could you give it its own MH spotlight?

dont know about it searching for more light (never really tried moving up onto rocks before) but none the less it tends to move and usually would find a place down in the sanb to make its home. just a big pain in a$$ when it moves (gotta move corals out of its path)

Ed........you want a nice green carpet anemone ;D

Somethings obviously not right if it's moving around. I understand that it was fine for a few weeks, but did anything else change in your tank? Water movement, lights, etc?

i think all that nice grown out coral is impeding the flow to your nem...id be happy to help you alleviate this by taking your coral serg...lol..you know..for the nems sake

you guys are sooooooo funny :D

well i added some sand where it used to be (like fluffy up its pillow ) and i put it back in the tank.......lets see how it does after its timeout session :)

Make sure the foot has a nice overhang to "hide" under so it feels secure. I had mine in a nice little "U" shaped rock and piled some sand up and around it. That, combined with good flow and lighting kept him happy and never moving.
