Imported Acans?

Watched a video where someone mentioned that possibly 90% of Acans imported will morph to orange and it’s best to get aquacultured Acans.

Any thoughts and how to purchase locally/online to stay away from imported Acans if the statement above is true?

They don’t bring in named acans but generally always have some ranging from $10-60

Yes -- acans can morph to mostly orange. It's not that unusual. I'm not sure if there's less of a chance of that with aqua cultured though. Not sure why it would be different.

The lineaged ones generally don't shift if kept under the right lighting, that's why imported ones are so risky.

I always have to ask how we know this? Is this just what we have read from anecdotal reports? Has anyone done a study? Has anyone had a tank with both types and had only the wild ones shift?
