In need of a sump and overflow for a 40g breeder

I just moved to Fairfield I have a 40g breeder I want to setup for as a reef tank I'm in need of a sump and overflow or someone who can make sumps from old tanks because I have two 40g tanks I would like one to be a sump

Just use the tank you got as a sump, shouldn’t need to do anything to it.
Probably not worth the time and money to add baffles or whatever else you have in mind compared to buying a new sump.

So just add a protein skimmer, return pump, and etc

The problem with using two of the same tanks is unless your stand is larger than your tank the other won't fit under. Got a Petco nearby? Might want to check if they have the $1/gal sale going on and get a 20B or 20L

I could work with you to make a sump. It would be acrylic. I made my own sumps, total volume of 35 gallons for roughly 200 bucks.

Stores that sell pet food are classified as "essential" (can't have your animals starving!) so should be open in some way, but it is up to each store owner to make that decision or not.
