Cali Kid Corals

Is 10 hours of MH light ideal?

Mine goes like this:
12 noon, two 54w T5's (UV Lighting Super Actinincs) "on" off at 10 PM

1 PM, four 54w T5's (two Aqua Science 22Ks, two ATi Aqua Blue Special 12Ks) "on" off at 9 PM

2 PM, one 250w Radium 20K Mh (left side of reef) "on" off at 7 pm
3 PM, one 240w Radium 20K Mh (right side of reef) "on" off at 8 pm

After a few days of 7 hours of 150 watt MH lighting, the LPS corals are looking healthier. The hammer & frogspawn particularly have more extension. At the meeting, thanks to helpful club members with highly accurate test kits, I learned that my water parameters are pretty good (except that I could use a higher calcium level... now dosing more B-Ionic). So this one factor --the light period-- had way more of an effect on my coral health than I imagined. Thanks, BAR members, for improving my tank!
