I wonder if it's silly to ask about lineage when I buy online ??? Or should I care?

If you care, then you should ask. If you don't care, then just buy it if you like it for that price. Only you can tell if you should care

I'd suggest that you don't pay a premium if you're not interested in lineage.

if it looks cool, you should get it, but if it looks REALLY cool and it costs A LOT, check lineage to see if it's worth it =/

I started buying coral for awhile just because they had big names on them... and then my brown acropora that I bought from AAF as my first SPS which I never cared about turned forest green with a very nice "ice" blue body =)

So I've learned my lesson, buy if you like what it looks like, unless you're a farmer and want to get something back for it =)

I buy what I like and don't really care where/who it comes from. I like to stay away from wild colony though because I'm not good at SPS. It's easy for me to kill them ;D .. Frag from other people tank seem to be much better for me 8) ..

If advertised as a lineage coral IMO it's perfectly fine to ask. IMO it's the vendors responsability to tell you
