Congrats on the baby!! I know those lights well. Both of my baby girls had the treatment for bilirubin levels if recall correctly. I did have the same idea.

One of the former administrators of that hospital was an avid diver/snorkeler..

As for the light blanket, I thought the same thing when I had my son wrapped in it...glad to know I'm not crazy..

They peak at only slightly different than our lights. The main difference is the testing of intensity that we really could do with a par meter. I thought about this a lot when mine was under lights for the first week. Good luck, take lots of pictures and videos, and try to help each other out as often as you can.
