I aquired one of these a few weeks ago from a tank brake down. Does anyone have experience with these?

Pros/cons
Recommend/ not recommended
Or any thoughts/ suggestions?

I have a few tanks, so not even sure on which tank I would consider setting this up on.

Try it on the one with the most alk demand. Then set it up and let us know your impressions.

I might depending on what I can glean here.
i have no experience with any auto testers or controllers, so my impressions wouldn't be based on anything compareable. Thus I wouldn't put any real weight at all on what I gather from trying it.

Sounds like it is the perfect time to get some first hand experience.

Ok. Here’s my take on it. I play with auto testers for years and years. I use to buy them play with them for a year or two then sell them.
We’ve had the kh carer for about 6 months.
It’s decent. I don’t look at the numbers. I follow the trends. If your not that follow the numbers. Its off one day by a point then back by a point the next. The big plus is there’s a hack titration that you can make so it’s pretty cheap to run. The unit wants you to calibrate it every 5 weeks or so. If you don’t it keeps emailing and texting you. On the app. You can not make adjusted values. So you have to remember it compared to like a Hanna. On the trident you can. The calibration is very confusing to me. I had to play with it for about a week straight before it would get a decent reading. But maybe I just don’t understand how to calibrate it properly.
You have it so I would run it. Just to get your feet wet. Bring lot of patience. Oh you need a small scale to calibrate it. Let me know if you have any questions
