Here's my first attempt in making a DIY stand, and sump for my 105 gal rimless tank. I decided in making my own stand because I didn't see too many peninsula style stands around and I wanted my tank to sit a lil higher than most. I'm not a professional and I'm sure the next go around I can incorporate a better design, but for now it's working and it does the job. The stand allows access on 3 sides.

Stand Dimensions: 4'L x 2'W x 3'H
40B sump

The last pictures shown is the tank finally starting to look like a reef tank, just need to fill in with corals.

Thanks Kris, I too am learning a lot more than I did my previous time with a saltwater tank.

Well done!
I hope you have nailed or screwed a 3/4ply sides to account for shear. I fear those sticks for legs fail in the event of any horizontal forces. No offense just being safe. I've seen 100gallons on the floor...it's not pretty! ;)

You made a "chain" with this post. In the future choose "forum topic" rather than chain.

Thanks Erin for the feedback. I added 2X4's in between the sides but I'm thinking of adding a sheet now that you mention it. Gotta see how I can add the ply and still get access to the sides of my sump since I use it to store my b-ionic and other misc stuff.

Sorry Mike, I didn't know I made a chain until I saw it.
