He's got 6 inches shorter from end to end@Devon let's see your tnutz light rail
Good point about off center. I'll have it hanging off the ceiling on wires.83" wide tank with a 70" rack, which leaves ~6.5" gap on both sides. My tank has a 3" euro brace that's tinted so it would be pointless to have lights at the edges.
How are you mounting the rack? Solid, hanging, or pivoting? It'd drive me crazy if the rack was exactly the same size as the tank and it was slightly off center.

Going with a single 2040 bar suspended from the ceiling since that's the mounting type the lights came with. Are you ordering Aluminum Extrusions 8020?
Is all your electrical inside the white sleeve on the right that angles down behind the tank?83" wide tank with a 70" rack, which leaves ~6.5" gap on both sides. My tank has a 3" euro brace that's tinted so it would be pointless to have lights at the edges.

Yup 10 power cables in that sleeve (6 kessils 4 quantas). If I were to do this again and if it wasn't an exterior wall with insulation, I'd put a pass through plate behind the rack and run the cables inside the wall to the floor where it'd then connect to power. I forgot who, but someone here has a hole in the wall leading to the garage on the other side where the power bricks are. @Darkxerox something to consider depending on what room is behind your tank.Is all your electrical inside the white sleeve on the right that angles down behind the tank?
I've actually got a cable conduit and elevated plugs about 4 feet up the wall since it used to be the mounted TV wall for the previous owners, so all set!Yup 10 power cables in that sleeve (6 kessils 4 quantas).
