Maxspect Gyre XF350 - Regular Cleaning

I have four of these in my tank and prefer them a lot over the MP40s (of which I also run two). I clean them regularly and have the following schedule and approach, but would like to hear other experiences to streamline this or make adjustments, if needed, since they are a key part of the tank setup and I would like to run them effectively:
  • Full cleaning every 12 weeks. I take out two and replace them with two spare I have. Then I start the cleaning.
  • I take apart all (!) pieces (picture attached) including the impeller - comment: this is the weirdest thing to get this out - any trick to not make this flying around my kitchen? Every single time it does that and lands somewhere random.
  • I soak all of it in citric acid. I typically do 3/4 cup per gallon, but increased this now by one third as last time it took quite a while to remove all the coralline algae.
  • After all is clean, I will add Molykote 111 to some of the moving parts.
