Merulina

Wondering if there are any merulina (sp. ampliata) lovers here or anyone who want to try your hands at one?

One of my favorite SPS that grows somewhere between a scroll and a pavona. The one I have is bright green that grows a skirt with a pink edge.

I was making a frag to put in my IM 20 at work and decided to make extras while I was at it. I have 2 available for DBTC and growing out at the moment.

I've read that merulina can be challenging to grow but to me this is one of the hardiest and easiest in my tank.

Oh that is a beauty. I had wanted a Merulina years ago, but I have never seen a branching one. Not asking to be considered - something happened with my Moseleya over spring break last week plus I have a bit of algae and summer is coming. Cool addition to DBTC!

My colony just died. So, putting myself on the list, in case yours isbdoing well

Bummer. Might have saved a small piece that i manage to save to restart.

My colong grew to 8" x 8" at the base too
