When I started this tank I was thinking I'll do a mixed reef. I've always been more into SPS and it seems like this is where i'm heading again. It will probably end up being 70/30 SPS/LPS. Softies just don't do it for me and I'm not risking having them in my tank.

Tank is obviously still very empty and so i'll continue searching for generous folks with frags to donate (small nominal fees are ok too).

This is how much the skimmer pulls out every 2-3 days since i started the Vodka. Some of the worst smelling $hi* i've experienced in my life. Goodness! actually, that may be the one thing i don't like about carbon dosing, how terrible the skimmate smells.

Enjoy the emptiness for now, it does not take very long to have it all filled up.

Richard, this is what I did:
week1: 0.4ml a day
week2: 0.8ml a day
week3:1.0ml/day (still had a little glass algae)
week4: 2.0ml/day -- all algae gone, sps looking pale, too clean.
week5 and on: 1.0ml/day. this is my maintenance dose.

started MB7 a week ago just to experiment.
