Thanks. I love this sump. The primary reason for the black was for algae control, and the blue outline was... well, I love the color blue.
As for the sump measurements, they are: 60L x 30H x 20W.

Why hot glue instead of normal pvc glue?

That’s what the guy at Home Depot recommended. However, I am planning to use regular/clear pvc glue

Flexible pipe. You can get extra flexible stuff from marine depot as well I believe.

Are you referring to extra flexible spa pvc pipe or the silicone tubing?
Going from my return pump to the hard plumbing I used a small stretch of the silicone tubing. It’s enough to be able to move the pump around a little but not much more. It’s super flexible though so it doesn’t allow any vibrations to make it to the hard plumbing.

I spent a few hours last night adding my Kessil lights... wanted to make sure they were in before I finalize the plumbing.... good thing I did.
I completely messed up on my measurements of the synergy ghost overflow... after I had installed the lights, I noticed the overflow box won’t fit. Doh!!!! I blame this on my medication.
Anyway I did fix it, but too exhausted to take a picture after fixing the issue. Hoping to finish up the plumbing by Sunday.
By the way, what’s up with the prices of gate valves??? Wow... it seems they’ve tripled in cost.

Conducted a few water tests over the last few days:
Ph: 8.05
Ammonia: .05
Nitrite: .01
Nitrates: 40 way too high
Phosphates: 0
Magnesium: 1250
Alk: 8.8 need to get this up
Calcium: 430
Next up a water change, then adjust the levels if necessary, then aqua scape the tank. Probably another week before I add any fish/corals

Why higher than 8.8 alk? That's great right there imo...

My understanding is that it should be above 9.5 especially since the tank is empty. Though I am not too worried about it’s much as the high nitrates.
