MR-1 skimmer

Hey guys, does any one know how big, in inches, is the opening of the gate valve of the MR-1? From reading the MRC website, it's suppose to be 1.24". But, when I bought the pvc, it does not fit.

What gives. Is the info on the web site wrong?

I believe mine is 1 and 1/4, but I will check in the morning.

Yes, 1 and 1/4" inch. From what I've read in the MRC website.

S@#$.... K>... now I know why the 1 and 1/4" pvc did not fit into the gate valve. It looks like the previous owner had used it and glued 1 1/4" pvc to it, cut it and sold it. When he cut it, he only left about 1/4" lip. Not enough to properly glue anything to it.
