nano tank recommendations?

I'm looking to set up a nano tank (< 10G) on my desk at work. I'm looking to keep a couple of clownfish and some sps or zoas. Any recommendations? Thanks!

Fluval evo 5 gallon is a great little all in one that has a light and will grow softies and some lps easily. If you want a fancier(more $ to spend) an innovative marine 10 gallon is a nice little tank as well

Ah, nano tanks... one of my favorite subjects...

All depends on what you want to do. The fluval 5G is perfect if you want to use it an edge divider / privacy screen. Cubes are good space saver...

I've done smaller with a Imaginatarium 3.7G cube from petco.

Sadly, the waterbox 4G and 7G are not longer available... those are nice as well.

I had a IM 10 on my desk for a couple months before upgrading it to something larger. It’s a great desktop tank and I’d say 10 gallons is a pretty great size for a nano. 50% water changes take one Home Depot bucket of sw and you still have an ok amount of water volume for temp stability.


Could be cool to do a softie/zoa tank, you could probably even just use the old water from your 300g since some softies like dirtier water.

I have the larger fluval and it’s perfect, heard nothing but good things about the 5G. I would recommend doing Zoas, softies, or lps in the tank of your stick with stock lighting.
