So I'm redoing my plumbing here, and much to my dismay I discovered that my old AGA aquarium does not have a 1" bulkhead and a 3/4" bulkhead on each overflow, but actually has two 1" bulkheads, one of which is a reducing 1" to 3/4" bulkhead. Why anyone thought this was a good idea, I don't know, but what it results in, is my 3/4" bulkhead doesn't fit. I tried using one of the old bulkheads and just cutting off the barbed fittings, but I had to sand it down to get the pipe to fit, and now it is just leaking.
So I need to find a 1" slip by slip bulkhead or even threaded if I have to, asap. I tried aquarium concepts since, and despite telling me on the phone they had what I need, after driving out to dublin I got "sorry we don't have any." The people at homedepot and lowes don't even know what a bulkhead is, or why someone would want to put a pipe through a piece of glass. I called dale's hardwhere, and they only had a 3/4" bulkhead. Does anyone know where I can find one?
