Instead of pumps, I decided to go with the RFG nozzles... completely nem proof.

Instead of pumps, I decided to go with the RFG nozzles... completely nem proof.
They are not nem proof. I proved that 2 weeks ago. The RFG creates a suction right behind the “output flare” and nems can and will get sucked into them.

I was planning on using the PVC insert and sealing it... they sell 1" slips over PVC so got that. Thoughts?

Not exactly clear what you’re asking. Are you talking about sealing the slot before the output starts to flare out? If so, that will probably defeat how the RFG generates random flow. There’s no way that you could seal that slot and still have the RFG work normally.

I didn't notice a slot but will have to take a look later when I get a chance
