New Iphone

Check out the new phone. Looks really cool... Too bad Verizon probably won't carry it until 2010 ::) ..

Yup... Cingular and Apple hooked up a deal. But, I've heard that Cingular has improved their service since they acquired AT&T.

I like the fact Cisco is suing Apple because they own the rights to the word iPhone :D

True - but you know Apple is going to settle this (pay big bucks) right away. I think Steve Jobs would've made more people happier if they've gone with Verizon rather than Cingular.

I think the reason they go with Cingular is because they are very popular in the east coast. Their phone can also be used international. Verizon is good here but not the East coast and their phone can't be used international. Sprint and Cingular are better over there. That's what I heard from my coworkers over there :D ..

I think I'll ask some of my co-workers, who recently signed on to cingular, what they think of cingular so far. To bad they aren't out till June. I'd like to see that bad boy. What's the demension of the iPHONE - anyone knows?

I have Cingulair, and it's not bad but it's not the greatest either.

TMobile seems to be the worst at least in downtown SF. I have co-workers who can only manage to get one bar signal strength in the office whereas my phone is full strength all the way in the very back.

On the other hand - I get sketchy service when I up towards Lassen State National Park (yep the boonies), and even more sketchy virtually nil service towards Bradley (close to Salinas) area

I've used them all. Verizon is by far the best for the areas I go. I travel to LA, phone is good most the way. I travel the greater bay area, works everywhere I go. Cingular I couldn't get thru to even place a call for a while, so I dropped them like a ton of bricks :)

Elite is right though. Cingular has the largest network, and over all, the best connections. But I don't live on the east coast and when I go there, my phone workss perfect (when I'm not in some hotel basement :) )

I used to have PacBell / Cingular, and it's always been wishy washy. Down in Santa Barbara it was great, but anywhere else, it really sucked. Every call I'd make, over 30 seconds, would drop. So strange =(

But since I went to Verizon, it's been great. No more dropped calls! Well, very rarely.

The problem is, my dumb razr runs out of batteries in about 8 hours, less if I talk a lot. I always have to charge it in the car or midway through the day. Sucks when I'm out all day!

BTW: Apple is getting sued I think by Cisco for the iPhone now!

I heard they simply changed the name, but that was from small talk at a meeting last night :)
