New to the Bay

Hey everyone,

I Just moved to SF from South Carolina to go to grad school (no culture shock, right? :bigsmile: ). I started my first reef tank almost 10 years ago and was really into the hobby (very active in local clubs, went to a few MACNA/IMAC, had multiple tanks) up until 5 years ago when I went off to college. Originally majored in Marine Science but eventually succumbed to Chemistry and changed my major. I really forgot how much I loved the hobby as other things took over my life. A couple weeks ago I went to the CAS and being in the aquarium really brought me back to what I really loved and re-sparked my interest. I went to a couple LFS and decided to order a 14g biocube to set up in my apartment. I am super excited to have a tank again and looking forward to meeting others in the club. I hope I can contribute something to the forums and eventually will have frags to share. If anyone cares, I was/am on RC (Spencerx15) and Nano-Reef.com (Spencerx).

My nephew is at Clemson and niece will start USC next year. The rivalry is now within the family. Welcome.

I got hooked at a little mall LFS in Dutch Square, just a few years back. Didn't tank up saltwater until two years ago.

Well I hope you like your niece more :bigsmile: . I think you are talking about Fishy Business. Probably the best store in Columbia, but that's not really saying that much...
