A quick update on my tank since last update. I switch to calcium reactor (geo 612) last Thanksgiving, I did modify following Randy tip to get rid of excess co2, then just add a second chamber to it. Also add CO2 scrubber the same time with the Calx. System look simple now.
Corals wise, I start adding sps and they all seem growing, encrusted and happy. I had a few sps doesn’t make it when I first got them due to fall off frag rack and other that I don’t know why.
I added some torch and a supernova, too. The supernova just split yesterday, it on the Nuvo 40gal tank.

I don't like the look of the Gen5 blue color in person, I like Radion gen4 pro more. I did add a 48inch xho actinic and color look nice, but due to my daughter study table near the tank so I need to cover the canopy to prevent excess light that why I need to remove the 48" bar. I will add a couple 36inch light bars in few weeks. Hope the addition of the Blue plus bars will make coral pop.
I ran into micro bubble issue, I put some putty to cover up some coral that I don’t want them to grow to make room, this cause my Reef Octopus Elite 200int go nut. It will eventually back to normal after few days which I hate about reef octopus skimmer.
Coincidentally Edgar is selling his BK DC 180 that is smaller foot print and is seem more stable compared to Reef Octopus. So I pick it up and it help to reduce micro bubble in few hrs. I will post my RO elite 200int for sale soon.

After 5 days out of town. Come back to find out some sad thing to my tank.
One of my Colorado Sunburst is totally missing, and other I guess went to go the pump because the foot look mess up. I put it in treatment and hope it come back.
The walt disney frag I got from @jhuynh is gone, it all white out while all other sps are doing good.
Two snail went into my BK DC 180 skimmer and broke 19 pins of the pin wheel impeller. This hobby, bad thing alway happened when I am not around.

This will help with snails getting into the pump. I have it and it works great!
@Vhuang168 thanks for the idea. Instead of order and waiting to for it to arrive, I just make one up, not as nice but I think it will do the job.
