I came across this post not to long along on fb. It seemed odd yet interesting at the same time. Right up until i clicked on it for more information. There one of the questions asked would you be intrested in a $120 monthly memebership fee.

No way I would do that lol.
I'm just wondering what others make of this post?

I think the lab is an awesome idea, kind of like those shared workshops with all sorts of tools to use, except for bio sciences. Way beyond the science level of the average reef hobbyist. For the reefing part he's gauging interest in, it's going to be hard finding that target audience because it's a niche within a niche. Someone trained in bio sciences, that's also into the reef hobby and has the appetite to do research, but also isn't already working in that field and has access to a research lab already.

Now if they had an ICP machine and a trained tech onsite to help you run it, the value proposition would go way up.

For $120 a month ill run a couple icp tests for you...
At current prices that's like two ICP tests. Luckily I hoarded a whole bunch at <$30 each.

I have a test done once or sometimes twice a year if something looks odd. Those trace element chasing folks seem to do a lot more.
