I'm down for some gusty

But is Gusty down for some Mike? :)

Uhhhh, I'm flattered but no thanks. 0:)

Ok I finally found my invoice. I should probably lie and say I bought it full price, but I whined and got the Acryl 60 half off.

I bought mine at whitecap in the Bayview. They quoted me $43.00 for a gallon of Acryl 60, and I said I needed a smaller quantity, and wasn't sure if I should buy it, and etc. until they gave me a "manager's special" trial bottle. I would feel like I got a good deal but I didn't even open the Acryl 60. I found the Emaco easy enough to work with I never even bothered. I've done some of this stuff before, so my comparison was with concrete that took a full 24 hrs to set. This stuff is WAAAAAAAAY easier to work with. :D

Emaco 400: $37.59/50#
Acryl 60 Trial price: 23.00/Gal
Arcyl 60 Normal price: $43.00/Gal

Fwiw, I don't think the glue is necessary to get cool shapes at all. Maybe I should try some and see how much easier it is to do stuff, I'm going to maybe be helping a friend put together her rocks, if I can find her a tank to buy.

Also, yes Mike, you may have some concrete, just let me know when you want to pick it up. I should probably buy some ziplock bags or something and rebag it or something before I offer it to the club.

I'm taking you with me next time I'm heading down to Whitecap to get a "managers special." :D

Ditto, and can you come along when I do all my shopping, Gusty? I meed groceries, busy today?

RE: Using Acryl. I've noticed it gives a bit of "flexibility" to the cure for want of a better term. Doesn't really improve how easy the Emaco is to work with. On a few longer, thin spans I found the cured Emaco alone could get a bit brittle and shear off easier than the same spans with Acryl added. Maybe I just did a better job on some, but the Acryl goes a long way and I use it out of habit at this point, keep a bottle premixed (I use 50/50 Acryl and RODI water). Geez, I need to have you tag along next time I buy Emaco - I pay a bit more at the White Cap in Fresno!! Of course, they did give m a killer deal the first time I bought, now that I'm addicteed they raised the price - just like Dealers everywhere!! Good people at White Cap for sure...

Here are a couple of pieces I built as a custom order (which are sitting in my garage unclaimed - anyone looking for a "scape?)...
