Another problem with the white styrofoam under an acrylic tank is that sometimes the styrofoam will cause the tank to bow. IMO the white foam is too soft for placing under tanks. You should use the pink foam if you use any. I prefer just to make sure the stand surface is flat and even rather than using any sort of material under the tank.
