Painting outside and back of sump?

Was thinking of painting the outside glass pane and back of my sump white, so that it will provide a nice background against the probes, equipment and will allow me to see if algea is growing...Good idea?

I think black would be better white will promote algae growth. Unless that's your plan

Do the white if you want to see the equipment and algae.

You can vinyl wrap it or use plastidip (if you're painting) just in case you decide to change your mind later.

I favor black paint, cheap spray paint. Clean the glass first, denatured alcohol is good for that.

I went with a yellow colored plastic dip, so I can peel it off if I don't like it or change my mind...Left the front and bottom panels clear...I have a black yoga mat that it will sit on

Came out pretty nice.
I have to admit, when I read about painting a sump yellow, I was unsure.

Those baffles seem backwards though.
Usually the UP one is on the skimmer side, and DOWN one is closest to the return pump.

Is this sump custom made? If yes do u mind give a ballpark cost and dimensions?
