Parasite on my GSP??

Hello everyone! My name is Peter, I'm 13, and this is my first post. I just today was moving around some of my corals and noticed a weird pink blob growing on and around my GSP. Is this a parasite or just another coral or what? I got it a couple of months ago and it has been growing great since then.

Hard to say without a picture, but if it's a pale blob it's likely a sponge.

welcome to the club peter! im 15 years old, so bit on the younger side here too haha. Looks like a sponge. You can probably peel it off the GSP.

Sponges filter a lot of water and also take up silicates.

See if you can grow it on another rock in the tank.

That was my thought too. Unless the sponge is becoming invasive and over growing corals then I'd leave it.
