This HW got badly injured from a bailed polyp after turning the flow up. I doubt im going to keep any aggressive LPS anymore.

Excited to see there things will be at the 1 year mark.at this point, I'm just about of room, less a couple edges to mount a couple choice pieces.

Now, off to grow and color up these things.

A little over 10 month update.

Corals are starting to grow in and I'm beginning to realize some of the placement is not ideal. Shading has become a problem and things are already require a bit of a haircut. Getting tools in there to cut is already pretty tight and I imagine things getting even more cramped.

I'm about a month in to the moonshiners system and things are looking promising. Growth took off with established pieces and colors from some browned out pieces that didn't ship well are returning slowly but surely. I recieved this POTO afterburner as dark as a tootsie roll and am starting to see some shades of color beginning to show itself.

PE is definitely more pronounced with all the traces in line.

I ran out of room on the rockwork so added a small shelf on the back wall from reefrocks. Not porus at all, but serves its purpose.

Overall, pretty happy for its first 10 months of being wet. One thing I do miss is the hard shimmer lines of MH. While the Straton is great with spread and provides some shimmer, I may be throwing a kessil or two up top for some hard point source lighting.

You have a serious sps addiction!! Not sure if theres a cure for you!. Nice sps amphitheater
Cant believe its been a year already danngg!! The floor is Lava but your slowly encroaching on the sand lol!
Tanks looking great! I like ur idea angling a few kessils to help with shadowing vs cutting them down smaller. There is always going to be shading regardless one of the benefits of a successful tank nice work! If no one’s burning each other I’d just let them mingle but kinda depends how big of colonies you want dinner plates, saucers etc?

I'm not sure if id want the cure if there was one..haha..I should consider myself fortunate that I ran out of space, especially with the holidays coming up. I do need to clear up the ones left on the sand. Restraint seems to be harder to practice than patience nowadays. :p

Your corals look ready to take off, tank will look so full few months from now.
I'm hoping so brotha. I'm wishing I had the dimensions of your 112 to fit more right about now haha.

those fish won't have any room to swim!
but that only happens if you're successful at growing out the frags...
those frags are a kaleidoscope of colors
let it grow
The stags will definitely cut into the swimming space with their upward growth. I'm thinking about swapping those out for more plating acros before I get too attached to them. If I could get clearance from the boss(wife) it would be a 6 foot x 30 in high...one step at a time tho

30” high...
I’m with that all day, every day!
(At least 24” front to back)

I’m moving next year and decided not to take my tank with me. Instead, I’ll be selling it and starting fresh once I’m settled in the new place. So here’s your chance to grab my setup while it’s available, hahahaha
