pH at 8.33 at night, 8.21 during day

Setup a pH probe on my AC III yesterday, and watched the data logs. My pH while lights are on is 8.21 consistently, when the lights go off and my fuge light goes on, pH rises to 8.33 and stays there.

Nothing else changes other than the lights, and I'm doing a reverse schedule so that the pH stays high at night... but too high?

I would think that the halides + t5's would make things have higher pH during the day. I only have a small ball of chaeto in the fuge + a small mangrove.

My ALK is at 8.2 dKH this morning, and calcium 480ppm
 
PH is totally within range, no worries Art :)

Mine hits 8.5 at it's peak!!
 
Is a little odd that your PH goes up at night (at least I think it is). Doesn't PH typicall lower at night? I run my fuge lights as well as my frag tank lights at night but is still drops a little.

Yeah that's what I was thinking too Bryan. everywhere I read people have a hard time keeping pH high enough at night when the lights go off. As soon as there's ambient light / halides go on, pH drops to 8.2

It was only one night so far, let's see what happens tonight.
