Ahoy,
If you have seen my other posts about my Crystal Dynamic 120 Gal tank that blew out a back seam then this is the continuation of my journey with the replacement with a new custom Planet 150 gal tank.
First Ill start with some pictures back in 2018 when I purchased the tank stand and sump. I had started buying pieces for this back in 2016 as I wanted to build up the parts and supplies before actually setting up the tank to help with the costs ( non of this stuff is cheep and I was trying to budget).
With the help of Darshan and Andy we got the plumbing and basic set up going in 2019. With the plumbing and wiring going through the wall backing up to the tank which is my laundry room. This is where the control center will be developed.
With first gen Radion lights.

Then on to "the build"!
First up was the light and got that out of the way for all the bigger stuff. Then the plumbing for the overflow and return lines. if you look behind the plumbing you can see where it penetrates through the wall into the "laundry room control center". where the Apex system was installed above a table I made for work. Part of the construction was to build a storrage system in the basement right under the laundry room. Again Darshan and Andy got it plumed up and integrated into the Apex system.

Ok fast forward to 2025 December.....
I was sitting in my recliner watching Steph Curry shooting the lights out in another game when i heard this " Tic" !! and the sound of water splashing........ I jumped up and ran to the tank which had split a back seam!!
Holy Mother of GOD!!!
I grabbed a 5 gal bucket and shoved it under the cascade of water and ran to my garage workshop where I grabbed several 2" long clamps. Quickly putting it on the top corner and cranking that seam closed! Soping up the side of the tank and installing3 more clamps (one on the other end of the tank just to be safe. Then got some adjustable straps and put around the whole tank.
Crisis averted temporally! After all that I checked for leaks and any seepage. Thank my lucky stars there was not a drop!
BUT!!!!!!!!

Ok, now what??????????????????????
I called Darshan and he got me calmed down (a bit).
SO now what do I do? Well Crystal Dynamics is out of business. One of the reason I went with this tank was that it had the "euro bracing" around the top. Which I thought wuld prevent this kind of "accident"....
Darshan and I discussed many different options and I Decided upon the "Planet custom 150 gal. The new tank will be 6" taller.
As I said all of this was around Christmas. So my Bride bought me the new tank for my Christmas present!!
HOW COOL IS THAT!!!!!!!

First, let me say the new custom tank was not cheep. Especially the shipping.
But it arrived and the rebuild process started anew.
Again With Darshan at the helm we started to get the new plumbing and other aspects of this coordinated.
Again with Darshan and Andy the plumbing was reconfigured and hooked up after moving everything into totes.
Then the rebuilding started..
I am so happy with the outcome of this whole thing.
