Power outage at work

Should be fine. IMO/IME it's better to loose power in winter then the dead heat of summer. Cooler means more O2 in the water and metabolism goes down (as does activity).

Good point Gresham.

My power went out yesterday at around 3 pm and didn't turn back on until this afternoon. Luckily a friend of mine lent me a generator to power up the tank. I think my corals and fish would've been toast if I didn't get my hands on one.

Over in the peninsula.

wow man! Good work getting that generator.
I have a battery back up (2 golf cart batteries) good for 8 hours on my return pump.
After that I can hook up my generator and I will run our fridge and the fish tank.
We lost power for a week on year.
