@Purgo25 -- the nem looks bleached... I recommend feeding it regularly and dosing zoox.

How’s the purple frogspawn doing? Some people are interested in frags from the DBTC if your piece has grown some new heads

They were doing fantastic until the heat wave hit! I was not prepared and lost some corals/some got bleached. The frogspawn is currently bleached but still looking good, hoping the cooler weather coming in helps even more. The largest head was splitting until this occurred :/. I am in the process of making sure my temp does not spike again. Going rimless for better evaporation and going to get some fans, hope it can take it down 3-4 degrees. Being originally from Colorado I never had to deal with keeping my tanks cooler, just warmer so this has been a learning process for me.

I’m dealing with the heat too, not fun. I put that frogspawn through some swings as I was learning but it’s a hardy coral and should hold through.

Thanks @The_Lazy_Reefer for the light! My corals are loving it! My nem on the other hand... not so much anyone have an idea of how to help it? See photos below

Could you try putting the lights to white and take a pic of the nem again. It’s not very clear.

Also as a new prime owner I suggest checking out the owners group on Facebook, they have a bunch of additional templates to try. Just be careful with adjusting intensity without a par meter, someone correct me if I’m wrong but you’re better off with a lower intensity than potentially bleaching corals.

Glad you like it! Used primes don’t last long on the market for a reason imo. What setting did you end up choosing? Also mounting height plays a big roll and usually 8” is a good height

Ya I did all the measurements and it’s at 8 inches dead center! Attached it it’s peak and what it is rest of the time till ramp up/down, really happy with the results even after a day.

I’ll never forget the day I put real reef lighting over my corals. The response sold me on the fact that a good light is definitely worth the money.

Some whites are good for nems imo. They always sparkle better for me when I mix in 4-5 hours of a daylight period.

Awesome got the whites running at 35% for 2 hours with a ramp up/down for 1 1/2 hours on each end
