I recently brought a used setup and planning to redo some of the plumbing. where can I find the replacement part circled in red? what do I called that?

It is a union. They are sold as a top and bottom together. Sold at Home depot, Lowes, or your local hardware store.

If you have a 1” pipe then a 1” union will be paired with it.

Definitely not universal. It's almost like every brand has there own thread size and pitch.
