I've got mine on Drew's Dosers as well. You might be able to keep up the manual dosing for a certain period of time, but over say a year, it can become very difficult to stay consistent. I have mine set up on a controller to dose 4 times within a 24 hour period. As far a the Mg part goes, I've been adjusting Mg in my mixing container prior to water changes and also factoring Specific Gravity into the "mix".
