RBTA resistant coral ???

JAR

Guest
I have one coral, a strange lps sea mat that is resistant to the stings of my Red Bubble Tip Anemone. Are there other corals that can live near the beast?
SEA MAT(I think)

I have that encrusting gorgonian(?) that also keeps the RBTA at bay... so much in fact it pushes them away as it gets larger... gonna have to chip that off one of these days.

It's not a LPS JAR :) It's a type of Palythoa...makes sense it wouldn't worry about an anemone :)

Encrusting gorg's IIRC use chemicals rather then stings to win their wars.

Gresham,
Thanks for the ID. I sliced through it to frag it and it seemed to have a skeleton of sorts.
I like this coral. Something different.
Are there other corals that resist RBTA stings that you know of?

watch out, it has the toxin in it.

They uptake sand and crap into their bodies giving them a "coral" like structure :) It's just sand and junk slimed together though :)
