As my 90 gal tank matures, I'm pretty sure I'll want to automate my CA(OH)2 supplementation. I've followed what you all are doing since I've never had to supplement prior tank adventures. It seem like a wide variety of methods from reactors to dosing pumps and you've provided me with some direction there. I'm wondering why adding liquid calcium to my top off water wouldn't do the trick? There must be a reason that folks are forking out $500-$1000 for reactors or dosing pumps!
I ran across the MRC small Nilsen Reactor and it looks like a good choice to me for suplementing CA and Kalkwasser. Has anyone had experience with this reactor over a period of time? Your thoughts about reactors and dosing is appreciated 'cause of the fact that my knowlege base is at zero on this aspect of reef keeping. Don't ya just love honesty???
Thanks!!!!!
