Cool idea and nice graphics. I’d be curious if it’s better than just asking your favorite free LLM chatbot the same questions though. $60/year, so it should be twice as useful as a BAR membership to justify lol.

100%. Feeding questions and data to ChatGPT or Llama (hosted via meta.ai or one of the self-hosted variations running the open source model) or DeepSeek does give useful answers to reefing questions, and almost certainly are what anything like this is actually built on.

$60 a year for that is cheaper than an OpenAI / Google AI subscription, but less useful. However $60/yr for that is $60/yr more than using meta.ai ($0). Self-hosting a model though involves buying really expensive GPUs, so at least better than that.

I also have paid memberships to all those b/c it's worth playing with the tech, and I use them for various things including aquarium cases. I've been debating seeing if I could write a LLM-bot integration for this forum to answer questions, but ... time ...]
