I have a Red Sea Reefer 170, and I'm currently running one Maxspect Gyre XF230. I have a lot of dead spots. I actually run it at full blast and it's still showing some dead spots, which I think is just the nature of my rockwork.
I'm considering running a second one, and have them mounted vertically.
The other thing I'm considering (as you may have seen) is to just run the tank bare bottom, which may help with the dead spots. I don't have corals there, just a bunch of build up.
Do you think running two XF330's in this small of a tank is overkill?
