Review: Tunze Care Booster

I have had the Tunze care magnet cleaner for a few years, and have really liked it. My only real dislike was that it didn't float, and the ends tend to fall off easily when not on the glass. I pretty frequently had to stick my arm in to get it off the sand.

Tunze came out with the Care Booster. Which converts the Care magnet to a floating magnet.

I have only used it a few times so far, but it does what I want, and it floats. The only real disadvantage I have found is it adds a little thickness to the in tank side, so if you have spots the magnet barely fits now, it will likely not fit with the booster installed.

The kit comes with 2 sets of floats, but I can't really see a reason to install it on the dry side, so I guess it's a backup. It also has 2 little white plugs that help keep the blade ends on the magnet. Overall well worth the upgrade cost to me.
