High Tide Aquatics

Rock Flower Anemones

She loves them, they seem like they are settling in slowly.

It was great to meet you Ken!! Here are some pics after moving them out of the caps and on to the rockwork. They look super happy and add some much needed color to the tank!!

Wow that's really cool! How aggressive are they sting wise to other inverts? E.g. where are they on the sting spectrum vs. like RBTA/mushrooms/favia/hammers/micros etc. I've never kept one of these

The next batch has hatched....they are so tiny!
That's super cool. To collect them the flow in your tank is very gentle to none right?

From my experience with them, no sting; moreover, they are with very short tentacles and barely move (not like RBTA wandering around the tank and end up in power head). The best placement for them is at bottom of the tank next to the foot of your rockscape. They bury their foot in the crevice and stay put.

The flow in the tank is not very strong, mj1200 in a 20g long. The babies usually are found on the sandbed next to the mother or under the mother's tentacles and I just gently suck them up using a long turkey baster and drop them into the end caps

Yes, fairly easy to keep. Their main nutrient source is from light, feeding if you want them to grow faster.
The ones from Ken are tank bred, super hardy.

Looks like a lot of orange or red ones this time around....time will tell!
