On the plus side, I am saving money on electricity.
Heater has not run much this week.
(There is actually a smaller heater not shown that runs a bit though)

Warm up here. Suppose to be 100 today. We have no AC! Lighting is LED so no heat transfer there.

This was the tank temp yesterday:

A fan blowing air across the halides brought down (3) 250 watt halides from a high of 83 to 78-80. Woot !

Augh, I hate Majanos!
They are everywhere. And so much else to do as well.

I had knee surgery, so have been doing a bit less than bare minimum maintenance
for a few weeks now. It shows.
So now that I am doing better, this weekend has been pretty busy.
The usual cleaning of course.
Skimmer, scrubber, carbon, water change.
Plus a power head was jammed.
And a ton of coraline on the front of the tank to scrape off.

But dang, a ton of Majanos, everywhere.
And a couple of Aptasia of course.
I think I might buy that electronic Majano wand.
Or more peppermint shrimp. But they could end up just being Wrasse food.

Some new arrivals.
I really like the green one. It is really finely variegated. But so hard to capture on the camera.

Wow! Love these two. What are they called?
Not sure. I am lousy on ID'ing coral.
Some sort of Green Zoa, and some sort of Acropora. Maybe Acropora Loripes.
I bought the hard coral from a BAR member a while ago.

Hmm, I worded that wrong.
Perhaps better would be to say the most money I ever spent on a free fish.

At any rate, great fish. It does not eat fully grown cleaner or peppermint shrimp.
But when I added some new peppermint shrimp, they seemed to disappear mysteriously.

Why are fish better than dogs for pets???
Because fish do not get sprayed by skunks!!!!!
Augh!
The dog, the house, and a fair bit of the neighborhood reeks.
:mad::confused::eek:
