My buddy is starting a a tank in his hihh school class. He needs lights, sand, rock, powerhead, easy corals (after a few months).

the school is in Sunnyvale/Mountain View area.

What can you donate or sell reasonably priced. Not looking for high end stuff.

Its a 60g with an FX4 canister.

I van contribute some clove polyps, should have other stuff grown out by then as well. Also should have my nudibranch situation handled by then

I got shrooms and yumas out the wazoo!
Actually I may be chopping off a whole part of my rock that is covered in yumas, mushrooms, I think a Kenya tree and some Zoas on the back. I am going more towards SPS but the softies have the upper hand on this part of the rock.

I also have a 2 gal glass ATO reservoir.


Live rock is a few yrs old so you can actually put it in the tank now while it’s recycling once you have some lights.

What's your friends experience? Does he have saltwater / freshwater tanks at home or has in the past..
 
He showed up last night with a fat smile. Said he got a steal of $10 sump.

Turns out it is a junk wet dry filter witbout any room for a skimmer

Looking for a budget sump and skimmer.

Trying to get rid if my 65gallon tank, has a sump if i can't sell or give away the tank in a few days i could give it to him free.

Just hoping i can get the whole tank and stand and sump gone.
